    I'm 5 minutes from eastgate.
    About 20 minutes from Kenwood.
    10/15 minutes from downtown/covington & Newport.

I have multiple gas stations around me. Downtown has none.
I have 24 hour shopping around me, cant say that about downtown.

I actually do like some things about downtown, but I prefer suburbia.

I'd say your response was moronic, but that would be unfair to morons.

Why dont you give up your less than palatial estate and move downtown if you love it so much?

Seems like you are kind of slamming me and the rest of us for something that you yourself are doing as well.

Give up suburbia and move downtown if you think it's so great to live down there.

    About 20 minutes from Kenwood.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Only if you are driving at Warp Speed. Downtown would be closer to Kenwood - and Rookwood for that matter.

    <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Kroger? Meijer? Biggs?

The Bellevue Kroger is just a short drive across the bridge, not any farther than most people in the Eastgate area drive to their grocery stores.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Excuse me for not joining the Crap on Downtown Bandwagon.

Live where you want, fine. I don't care. But don't sit from your suburban wasteland of Super Walmarts and complain that there's nothing noteworthy downtown.

Don't live in the middle of an area where *EVERYONE* drives a car and pretty much all of your neighbors wouldn't support mass transit if their life depended on it and complain about the lack of light rail.

I want to know how many of of you attended the Fringe Festival? May Festival?

How many of you have ever been to the CAC?

When is the last time any of you have been to Memorial Hall - or Music Hall for that matter?

Have any of you ever seen a show at the Ensemble Theater, Gabriel's Corner, or Fifth Third Theater at the Aronoff, or the Shakespeare Festival?

How many have ever just walked the length of the riverfront park and taken a loop across the bridges over to the Kentucky side?

Downtown could use a lot of things, but it also has a lot that no other neighborhood can claim.

I can walk to a kroger from where I live.

I am merely stating that I have quick and easy access to many of life's conveniences near me, and can get to most of the places that I like to go to eat or shop or go to a movie or concert less than 30 minutes away.
(about 8-10 minutes to the Milford Cinema, about 5 minutes from riverbend)

You call me the dumbest person on this board becuse I called you on the fact that you are putting the rest of us down for something you do yourself?!?!?!?!

If you think we all leave in such hellholes and that we are all such losers for not wanting to live downtown, then what does that make you?

You put us all down for not wanting to live there, yet you dont live there yourself.

I didnt insult anyone for the area they live in, you did!

Obviously you are the dumbest person on the board for wasting that many posts to make yourself look worse.

I like the quiet of suburbia!

End of argument. You have no basis for your argument until you yourself move downtown. Then you can tell us all how great it is to live there from experience. Right now you are are just professing your love for some of the things that are down there and events that occur in that area. You've said nothing about actually living down there.

I'd rather live out away from downtown and just go down there when there is something I want to do or see, than live there.
I dont think that suggests anything that qualifies me as "dumb".

    <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">OOOOOhhhhhhhh...then why didn't you say so! If I'd known that I would've purchased a home there myself!

I, too, like hauling my frozen foods and what nots in my little cart along sidewalk-less Beechmont Avenue. Much, much more fun than putting them in the back seat and driving them home.
